Maura Krause
Maura Krause is the Artistic Director of Orbiter 3, Philadelphia's first playwrights collective. She is also currently the National New Play Network Producer-in-Residence at InterAct Theatre Company and an Associated Artist with Applied Mechanics. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Maura has worked with many East Coast organizations, including the Samuel French Off-Off Broadway Festival, Woolly Mammoth Theatre, the Source Festival DC, EMP Collective, Walking Fish Theatre, and Wanderlust Collective. She serves as the coordinator of Philadelphia New Play Initiative, which is a campaign to improve the climate for new plays in the city of Philadelphia, and is the co-founder of Foxwife City. Recently, Maura served as a dramaturg at PlayPenn’s 2014 new play development conference and directed the Philadelphia Fringe Festival hit SAFE SPACE, an immersive house play about global warming written by playwrights Emily Acker, Emma Goidel, and Douglas Williams.
