Taroon, a former interpreter for the U.S. military, is hiding from the Taliban in his sister's apartment while he awaits the arrival of a promised American visa. But on the eve of his son's birth, he is determined to visit his wife and newborn child, putting his entire family in grave and immediate danger.

SUNDAY November 5 -Ahmad Q. Munhazim (They/Them) Associate Professor of Global Studies, Thomas Jefferson University. Interdisciplinary scholar, de/colonial ethnographer, and artist. Current research is a de-colonial ethnographic study of Muslim diaspora in the US where they study the impact of the War on Terror on Muslim masculinities and the everyday politics of queer and trans Muslims.

SUNDAY November 19 -Wazhmah Osman is a filmmaker and assistant professor in the Klein College of Media and Communication at Temple University. She is the codirector of the critically acclaimed documentary Postcards from Tora Bora and the coauthor of Afghanistan: A Very Short Introduction.
